Tradition! Conference pictures.
Bruce found the favorite hiding spot.
Ralph's Birthday!
So when I was in college, I had a class on WWII. I remember asking the teacher what the land looked like between all of the fighting. Now I know. In this picture you can kind of see the disaster our yard was before our big clean out day.
Dumpster delivered and ready to be loaded.
Step one, take apart the rotten deck, clear out all of the rotten piles of wood all over the yard.
Step two, tackle the poplar tree stumps. Apparently a car jack played a big roll. Whoda thought.
Pulling out the roots.
The stump is out and on the move.
Proud men who helped remove the stump.
Step three, tackle the big Oak Tree. Why not? The dumpster was overflowing by this point.
And, they won. All of the leafy lims were taken from the tree. Ralph and I might be able to open our window next spring without dying of allergies. (Found out we are both allergic, and the tree was right outside of our bedroom window.)
And, our new kind of ugly back yard. We kept staring outside for a week basking in the glory of a cleared out yard. Now, hopefully next spring we can start little by little to rebuild it into the yard of our dreams. By the time Amber graduates from High School in 2024, it should be perfect. Thanks again for everyone's help!!!
